Immobility / Stiffness

Traditional Chinese Medicine views immobility and stiffness as a blockage in the flow of Qi and development of stagnation and blood stasis. TCM treatment approaches include acupuncture, herbal medicine, and movement exercises such as Qi Gong. These methods can promote energy flow, resolve blood stagnation, and improve mobility.

Lack of stability

In TCM, lack of stability can be attributed to all the meridians that run through the legs. My therapy focuses on strengthening the affected meridians, often through acupuncture, herbal therapy, and appropriate dietary recommendations to promote stability.

Incontinence

Incontinence is considered a dysregulation of Kidney Yin or Yang and Bladder Qi. TCM treatment approaches may include acupuncture and herbal medicine to improve control over bladder function.

Age marks

Age spots are interpreted as signs of Qi and blood stagnation. At the same time, there may be a Spleen Qi deficiency, as the Spleen is responsible for holding the blood in the vessels. I treat age spots with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary adjustments.

Glaucoma

Traditional Chinese Medicine views glaucoma as a disturbance of the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. In my practice, I focus on strengthening the Liver and improving blood flow to the eyes. I often use acupuncture in conjunction with herbal therapy to regulate blood pressure and promote eye health. However, it is important that TCM treatments are used as a complement to conventional medical approaches.
