Clinic for Traditional Chinese Medicine
Jasmin Reif - Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Welcome to the Clinic of Jasmin Reif LAc, Heilpraktiker for Traditional Chinese Medicine in London, Düsseldorf and Essen!
As the name suggests, my clinic offers Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically acupuncture, combined with other techniques such as Chinese Herbal Medicine, Gua Sha scraping massage, cupping massage, and Chinese dietetics to treat your symptoms.
In addition, I apply Five Elements theories and Six Divisions techniques as diagnostic methods, which I learned during my studies in London.
There are many different types of acupuncture: traditional Chinese-based acupuncture systems, Ashi points, which are located in the affected body region, microsystems such as auricular acupuncture for smoking cessation, and scalp acupuncture for treating neurological disorders. Traditional acupuncture includes systems like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Elements, Stems and Branches, Japanese Meridian Therapy, and many more. These styles vary slightly in needling and diagnostic techniques but all trace back to classical texts like the Huangdi Neijing (黄帝内经).
What can I expect at the clinic?
During the consultation, I develop an individualized treatment plan that is best suited to your body and your complaints as a whole.
To do this, I first take your medical history, check your pulse, and examine your tongue. The treatment plan is based on your symptoms, health condition, and lifestyle.
If I treat you with acupuncture, the needles will then be inserted and remain in your body for 20 minutes.
Come by the Chinese Medicine clinic of Jasmin Reif LAc, Acupuncturist & Herbalist and Heilpraktiker, and experience how acupuncture works for you!
Treatment Focus Areas of TCM
According to numerous clinical studies, conditions in the following areas can be positively influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine.
If you’re unsure whether TCM is suitable for your condition, feel free to contact me.
Is Acupuncture Painful?
In general, acupuncture should not be painful.
It is normal to feel a slight tingling or dull ache when the acupuncturist adjusts the needle. This sensation is known as Deqi.
